Anna Claire Brunelli - Owner & Creator of CULTIVATE PILATES

I received my equipment certification in January of 2012 and then moved to Denver, CO where I began acquiring a group of loyal clients who have followed me year after year. After teaching at a few studios in Denver, I met studio owner Clara Gelatt, and helped open Pilates Collective Denver in October of 2016. Acting as Studio Manager, Program Coordinator and Lead Instructor, I helped co-create an amazing studio where we could delve into the science and theories of the Pilates method, and support a community of clients empowered by understanding their bodies, in and out of the studio.

Over the course of my time in Denver, I received extra training in Pilates for: Neck, Back and Hip Pain, Foot Health, Pilates for Neurological Disorders and much more. I am also certified to train other instructors in my Gentle Pilates Teacher Training Program, which explores a myriad of modifications for clients who have a harder time with the classical Pilates repertoire.

In 2020 my husband and I moved back to my hometown of Austin, TX where I’m starting the next chapter of my career. Teaching from the comfort of my own home I offer private lessons for those who live in Austin. I also teach live streaming mat classes !

A little more about Claire…

A native of Austin, Texas, I am a NPCP Certified instructor with a degree in Modern Dance Performance. I was lucky enough to start Pilates at age 12 under a longtime teacher and family friend, who later trained me to become an instructor. As a dancer, I understand the mechanics of movement and the beauty of what the human body is capable of achieving. But as a dancer who has had career altering injuries, I have also learned what it’s like to lose the ability to access muscles and the struggle it can be to regain them!

With 30 years of dance training, 20 years of practicing Pilates, and 10 years of teaching the method, I truly believe in the amazing benefits that Pilates can offer each and every body!

I have taught clients who range in age from 10-85, and have worked with athletes, seniors, those with neurological issues and everything in between. I specialize in working with injuries and limitations of all kinds, with the common goal of finding ways for my clients to nourish their bodies back to health with the power of Pilates.

I truly believe I was meant to teach people and help them cultivate the knowledge to understand the body’s inner workings. I look forward to continuing down the spiritual, physical, and mindful paths Pilates has to offer those I teach.

"Claire is the best pilates instructor I've ever worked with over the years. I've been a pilates student for over 10 years, and Claire is the only one who knows the body & body mechanics so well. She's also able to adjust any exercise to accommodate my age, abilities, & previous injuries! She is awesome! Her class is not only challenging and educational, but fun as well!!"

— Sue

“I have been working with Claire for 3 years and she is one of the main reasons I fell in love with Pilates. I have always exercised but get bored easily. Claire is challenging in her workouts and refreshing in her style. She is always positive in her coaching, adaptable to my needs and supportive of my workout goals. I didn't really have a plan when I started Pilates, but 3 years later, I can honestly say Claire has been instrumental in keeping me strong and pushing my limits.”
